“A little tranquil lake is more significant to my life than any big city in the world” ~ Munia Khan

As the world trudges along in the midst of uncertainty, we are left feeling unanchored and rudderless. Nothing feels the same. Nothing looks the same. Not even for us.

So we look to escape. From the drudgery, the mundane; the every day.

We find ourselves immersed in the reading of books, captivated in the fantasies of movies, enjoying Sunday drives down winding roads and turning towards our families to provide beautiful distractions.

We used to do that. All the time. How strange that we use to find our pleasure in simplicity. Not a punishment but a golden age of connectivity.

For over 17 years, we have had our own escapism. Our lake lot, 45 minutes from home was and continues to be the perfect getaway.

We may not be able to hug and hold everyone after a long winter break, but we still can share our experiences and connect with our friends.

We are grateful to be able to change our view and find some solitude and peace at the lake.
