25 years.

A quarter of a century.

A passage of time that demarks years gone by but only a tiny fragment of a life spent.

Traditionally, a husband would give his wife a silver garland marking 25 years. The silver symbolized the “harmony” that people believed a couple needed to sustain a marriage for such a long period of time.

Perhaps best noted for the silver in our hair that seems to expand as the years pass by.

You are a wonderful to me, Scott John. Steadfast and confident in what lay ahead, you have never wavered nor faltered.

For all of our lives, you have put me first.

Unconditionally. From the moment our first child arrived, you have shown the world how possible it is to divide your heart in 4 separate pieces but always equal with love.

Thoroughly.

Unequivocally.

Completely.

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” ~Lao Tzu

Thank you for the strength and courage you have given me. Because of you, I will stand another day and another until with you, all of our days are spent and a lifetime of love and friendship have passed.

Happy anniversary my love.
